This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We have enjoyed learning the story of the animals, trying Chinese food, painting Mandarin numbers and making lanterns to decorate our room.
In phonics we have been focusing on some new digraphs- sh, ch, th and ng. These can be quite tricky so please do encourage your children to be spotting them where they can. We have also been learning two new tricky words – me, be and we.
In mathematics we have been learning all about the number six. Playing games using a dice is a great way to support this learning at home.
Please may I remind parents that milk is free and offered to all children when they are 4. As the children turn five, if you want your child to continue having milk there is a charge.
