It’s the 75th anniversary of VE Day! Hopefully you’re all finding time to relax and celebrate this weekend. I’ve seen some incredible baking, decorating and dancing in preparation for the day and wish so much that I could be celebrating with you all!

In maths this week we have been doing a bit of subtraction. If you feel your child needs a little bit of extra support with it, don’t forget to check out the two little games I posted earlier in the week that you may like to play. In phonics we have been recapping our phase 3 sounds, and learning two new tricky words: some and come. In literacy we have been thinking about the people who help us and writing thank you notes to them. See below for some examples.

Next week’s learning is all about animals! I look forward to learning with you then – and to seeing if Boris has anything to say about when I may see you all again on Sunday.

Miss Sherwood.
