This week we have been reading ‘The Little Red Hen’ and thinking about how it is important for everyone to help out. We have particularly enjoyed baking bread as part of our learning about the story.
On Thursday it was Mental Health Day where we thought about emotions. We have each made our own worry doll to talk to about any worries we might have.
In phonics we have been securing our phase 1 phonics in preparation for beginning phase 2 letters next week. Keep practising initial sounds, segmenting and blending at home. It is important that children can hear the difference between sounds before learning each one individually. In maths we have been learning more about the number 2. We know what two looks like in a variety of contexts.
Show and tells for Friday 18th Octoberare Eve, Freddie and Freya. Please talk with your child about what they want to bring in so they have lots to tell us about it.
