Coverdale Blog

Monday

On Monday we did the usual Monday jobs like spellings and homework diaries. We talked about the school trips we were going to attend later in the week.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we went on a school trip: Countryside Day. We were split into groups. We did activities including making bread, learning about beekeepers and making masks. We also watched the Sheep Show and the Dog and Duck Show. We had a fantastic day. Why did it have to end?…

Wednesday

Believe it or not, Wednesday was another school trip for lucky Coverdale! Danelaw was an absolutely amazing day. In a hall, we talked about Vikings. Then we lived as a Viking in a village. Near the end of the day, a Saxon spy visited! She was scary but no match for us. She soon ran yelling, and left her spear behind. Victory! Wednesday was awesome.

Thursday

Thursday morning was Literacy Morning. We wrote reports of our school year with Mrs Harrison. We included several things like our favourite subject, the achievement we are most proud of and many more. In the afternoon we did Art. We made looms and some people started weaving with them.

Friday

On Friday we had a French morning. We made a Tricolour flag by cutting blue and red paper into squares. Then we played some French-inspired games. In the afternoon we marked Mental Maths. Tim Peake is coming back on Saturday so Coverdale was really excited!
