This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year. We have been finding out how the years became named after animals and thinking about whether our personalities really do match the character traits of the year we were born in. In Dentdale we are either dragons or snakes!

We had a creative afternoon on Tuesday making superb dragons out of paper and had to use careful cutting skills with fabulous results. They are on display in the classroom – do pop in and admire them!

On Thursday we wrote recounts of Chinese New Year celebrations and practised Chinese writing!

In Maths we have been continuing our length topic, doing very accurate measurements and also started our fractions topic, exploring equal parts, halves and quarters.
