This week we have been learning about Grace Darling and her famous rescue in 1838. We looked at some famous paintings of the stormy night and then wrote some of the different types of sentences using exciting adjectives.

The RNLI came to Worship time on Monday and told us all about how to keep safe in the sea. It was interesting to compare lifeguards equipment with that of Grace Darling!

On Thursday, Dentdale led the school worship on the school value of Forgiveness. We retold the bible story of the Prodigal Son that we had learnt about in R.E. on Monday. We also sang songs with actions and did some drama to show forgiveness in our everyday lives. Well done Dentdale.

We have also enjoyed The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch story and we have started to find evidence of his character. We look forward to reading some of his other adventures.
