On Wednesday we went to the Royal Armouries in Leeds to learn about knights. We had a wonderful day. We met a knight and dressed up as squires and learnt how to bow to the king (who was Mrs Phelan dressed up!).Then we had great fun trying on the shiny armour – it was very heavy!

After that we had a story session and helped make up characters and did sound effects too!

After lunch we watched a sword fight and explored the museum. We saw some funny helmets with glasses and moustaches and some small armour made for children!

It was a brilliant day!

On Thursday Y2 footballers competed in an area schools competition against 6 other schools and we won! We are now through to the Finals in May. We are very proud of the team, 2 girls and 6 boys. They showed great respect and really enjoyed it.
