This week we have been learning about Fairtrade cocoa farming and how being part of a Fairtrade group helps farmers. We learnt about Lucia and how she and her family farm cocoa beans in West Africa while protecting the rainforest where they live.

We have been continuing learning about Grace Darling and wrote some wonderful recounts of the great rescue.

In RE we were thinking about how we can show that we love God. We enjoyed learning a song which used sign language too!

In Maths we have been making the same amounts using different coins and continued reading thermometers.

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day and enjoyed the Light house Keeper’s lunch story. We iced and ate Ship’s biscuits and Mrs Amella who is our class Governor helped us. Mrs Heard also came to read us a story. The children looked fantastic so thank you parents for your support. Choosing the best two was a tricky job but the prize went to Jayden as Flat Stanley and also to Teddy.

We will be continuing the celebrations next Wednesday when we visit Bilton and Woodfield Library! We also look forward to Science week next week.
