Congratulations to all of the parents involved in Saturday’s Knaresborough Bed Race, despite the terrible weather our bed looked magnificent, winning the best decorated bed award. The team did an amazing joba and literacy shone through the rain in their gold spray paint; The friends are raising money for the new wellbeing wildlife garden, it is not too late to make a donation via the Friends just giving page.

This week is another very busy one at RTS. Starting on Monday the Friends prayer group will be setting up prayer space activities for the children to enjoy during the week. The theme for this term’s activities is ‘The Lord’s Prayer’. Thank you to everyone who has worked hard to prepare the activities. Also on Monday, the Children from Coverdale Class will be spending the day learning about the life of Vikings during their visit to Murton Park.

Tuesday is Countryside Day at the Great Yorkshire Showground; it is always a fantastic day which the children enjoy. This year the children from Coverdale, Nidderdale and Swaledale will be experiencing a wide range of activities and shows laid on by the showground organisers. After school we look forward to welcoming the coaching team from Harrogate Town FC who will be running a girls afterschool football club this half term.

Wednesday sees Airedale and Bishopdale spending the day at Hesketh Farm while back at school Mrs Else will be delivering violin lessons today instead of Tuesday for one week only.

On Thursday 20 of our year six children will be visiting York University for a day of science. Harrogate Town FC will return to school to lead a coaching session in the morning

Friday will see the first Friends prayer group meeting at 2.30pm in the staffroom, all are welcome to attend.
