Look out for a special competition being run by our catering team. Every child in school will have the chance to design a new school meal this week; the winner will be chosen following Thursday’s deadline and will be announced on Friday. The child who creates the winning design will have the chance to help the team in the kitchens actually create their meal for the rest of the school to enjoy. Good luck to all entrants. The entries for the St John’s Fair poster have been sent for judging and we will announce the winner shortly, thank you to everyone who entered.

This week we have two visitors to lead our worship. On Monday Mr Green will lead our worship time whilst on Tuesday we welcome Ruth to take our worship time. We look forward to welcoming them both.

On Monday morning Mr Groves will be visiting our gardening club to give them final pieces of advice before their entry is judged on Thursday afternoon.

Tuesday sees Claire Bassingdale from St Aidan’s bringing her sports leaders to RTS where they will be working with children from different classes. During Tuesday afternoon a number of children from yr5/6 will be working with children from Bilton Grange in a very special music workshop in conjunction with the Rotary Club.

On Wednesday our Environmental Ambassadors will be meeting with Miss Sherwood to plan their future projects. Bishopdale Class will be having their trip to Harewood House on Wednesday.

Friday sees Dentdale and Ribblesdale Classes visit Tropical World; at 2.45 we will be having our weekly tea and cakes for children chosen for outstanding behaviour and good manners.

Clubs running this week include rounders, athletics, choir, orchestra, cricket, gardening, KS1 sports and tennis.

The photographs below show last week’s yellow jumper winners, a photo from Countryside Day 2018 and the gardening club finishing their planting programme.
