Welcome to the start of the final week of what has been one of the most challenging years in the school’s history for everyone associated with RTS. On Friday we said goodbye to many of the younger children who had managed to return to school from the 1st June and this Tuesday we look forward to welcoming back our Year 6 children who will be able to enjoy their final week back in the place where they have spent the last 7 years growing into the young people that we are very proud of. The children in Year 6 will cram a lot of enjoyable activities into their last few days and their week will culminate in a special online leavers’ service for everyone to share.

On Monday 20th July we will welcome back our FunClub partners who will be running holiday provision out of Richard Taylor School during the summer break.

The end of the school year always sees some staffing changes. The school is sorry to announce that Mrs Walker, one of our teaching support assistants will be leaving us. Everyone at RTS will be very sorry to see Mrs Walker leave and wish her all the best in the future. I am pleased to be able to welcome Mrs Gibson to the staffing team as she joins us as a teaching support assistant in key stage one.

Some of you will have spotted a star of the future from RTS who appeared on BBC one last week. Milly Rowlands appeared in the BBC One drama ‘There She Goes’ alongside David Tennant. Well done Milly! Everyone who watched agreed that you were the star of the show!

Whatever your summer looks like I hope that you have a wonderful time. Everyone at RTS joins me in thanking all of our parents for the amazing support that you have given the school during a year like no other in the school’s history.

The photos below show Millie in her staring role
