The first full week back at school is a busy one as the Spring Term gets into full swing. I am delighted to say that I have finally managed to make a belated appearance back at school. I hope to be back at school full time as soon as possible but whilst I continue my phased return I would like to thank Mrs Crisell and the whole team at RTS for the great start that they have made to 2019. You don’t realise how much you miss the excited buzz of learning around school until you are away for a while.

This week sees the first visit of Claire Bassingdale from St Aidan’s to lead PE sessions for some classes.

Also on Monday we are delighted to welcome Sam Croston from the very exciting Space Camp Project who will be leading our worship on Monday and visiting Coverdale class for her first workshop.

After school on Monday we are delighted to welcome the team from Harrogate Theatre who will be leading our drama club this term. Also after school is the first Friends meeting of the year.

On Tuesday we welcome Mr Green who will be leading our worship whilst on Wednesday Terry Kirk will be visiting Nidderdale and Swaledale classes to lead workshops on Polar foodchains. After school on Wednesday it is week one of the year 5/6 Tchouckball competition at Harrogate High School; Tchouckball is a fast paced and very exciting ball sport which the children all enjoy.

Thursday 17th sees the visit of the children’s author Lisa Thompson; she will spend the afternoon in school inspiring the children to become future authors. After school on Thursday a group of our sports ambassadors will be visiting the Harrogate Racquets Club to enjoy a session of table tennis coaching.

The week ends with the first prayer group meeting of the year at 2.30 in the staffroom.

Finally we are getting close to the completion of the entrance building project. The process of moving back in will hopefully start next week and we can all look forward to a grand opening in the near future.
