By now you should have received a copy of the school’s Ofsted Report following our inspection on Tuesday 25th April. It will be published on the Ofsted website on Thursday 18th May and our website during this week.
We are all very pleased by the outcomes of the report which reflect the many strengths of the school and the areas which we have already targeted for further action. I am particularly proud of the comment made by the inspector that; ‘ There is a tangible sense of community, care, respect of and value for others as soon as you enter the school.’
On to this week which starts on Monday with Nidderdale and Swaledale Classes visiting Murton Park for the day where they will become Romans for the day. On Tuesday we welcome Amy Lyon from St Aidan’s who will be leading PE sessions with some of our classes. After school on Tuesday our Choir will be rehearsing with our friends from Bilton Grange and the Harrogate Male Voice Choir as they continue to prepare for their concert next Saturday at St Wilfred’s .
Wednesday is a busy day with parents from Airedale and Bishopdale invited to come and plant flowers with the children during two sessions in the day. Children from Wharfedale and Wensleydale will both be involved in workshops over Wednesday and Thursday where they will learn how to stay safe in school.
After school on Thursday our year 5/6 tennis team will be participating in the tournament at St John Fishers; thanks to Mrs Jackson who will be accompanying the team.
Finally on Friday the Friends Prayer Group will be meeting in the staffroom at 2.30pm.
Congratulations to our Year Six pupils who coped with last week’s SAT tests brilliantly.
Below are the yellow jersey winners for last week.
