Welcome back to school at the start of what will be a very busy summer term with hopefully a little sunshine to support the events that we have planned.

Monday 16th is a staff training day with the children starting the new term on Tuesday 17th April.

On Wednesday this week Dave Burns will start his summer term cycling club running after school until 4.30pm. Thursday sees our para-sports pupils attending the second para-sports event of the year at Harrogate High School. Last time the children competed in curling and bochia. I look forward to reporting on what they got up to this week.

Please look out for updates on the forthcoming parents’ evenings and the new way of booking your appointments.

It is a very busy term with highlights including a book fair on 3rd May, Bilton Gala on 7th May, Sports Day on 25th June, Yr 6 performances on 4/5th July and the leavers’ service on Friday 20th July.

This term will also see the year six children sitting their SAT tests during the week beginning Monday 14th May.

I am delighted to announce that we have been awarded by Fairtrade Fairaware and Fairactive awards for the work that we have done to support and promote Fairtrade. Look out for the updated logos on our website and newsletters.

This term will also see our gardening club busy growing their veg box to enter in this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.

The photos below show the winners of the last yellow jersey of the spring term.
