We have made it to the final week of the autumn term. Before we look at a busy week I would like to thank Mrs Wake and the wonderful school choir for their performance at the conference centre on Saturday. They have the busiest week of their year ahead as they perform at the Choir Christmas Concert on Monday in the school hall, starting at 6,30pm. They will also be performing at the School Carol Service at St John’s Church starting at 10am on Thursday 19th December.

Monday sees the child health team in school completing the flu vaccine programme whilst Ribblesdale and Dentdale will be holding their Christmas Party in the afternoon.

On Tuesday Airedale and Bishopdale will hold their Christmas Party in the morning whilst Coverdale hold theirs in the afternoon. On Stray FM Nidderdale will be singing the countdown to Santa at 7.10am and 8.10am tune in and enjoy their festive effort.

The school holds a special service of hope where every class lights a candle and shares their hopes for a better world. In the afternoon on Wednesday Nidderdale and Swaledale will be holding their party.

Thursday sees the school carol service being held at St John’s from 10am whilst Wharfedale and Wensleydale hold the last of the Christmas parties in the afternoon.

On Friday the school will come together for a special time of carol singing around our Christmas tree before we finish for the holidays at 2.15pm

Please remember that we reopen for the spring term on Tuesday 7th January after a training day on the Monday.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the support that they have given to the school and to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
