Thank you to everyone for your support with the sponsored bunny bounce on Friday. The children had a wonderful time, and we hope to have raised important funds for the school. Special thanks to all the friends of RTS who gave up their time to count the thousands of bounces completed.

The last week of the Easter Term starts with the arrival of our prayer stations. Special thanks to Emma James and Becky Onslow for preparing the resources. It is something which engages all of the children and is an important part of school life.

On Monday and Tuesday after school the friends will be holding a uniform bank with a great opportunity to restock your supplies as the children grow. It is great value, good quality uniform with bargains to be had and all proceeds going to school funds.

Tuesday is a busy day for everyone as Coverdale Class visit the Astro campus in York whilst back at school, we welcome old friends to the Easter Community Tea from 2pm. After school on Tuesday Bishopdale will be holding their parents’ consultation evening. For the other classes parents consultation evenings are on Wednesday and Thursday after school. We are delighted to be able to welcome parents back into school for face-to-face meetings this term. Please let us know if you are struggling to make an agreed appointment. I look forward to seeing everyone at some point over Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings next week.

On Wednesday the children from year five will be joining the congregation at St John’s for the midweek eucharist service. This is part of their RE curriculum and during the service Laura will be explaining the importance of the communion service for Christians.

On Thursday morning the school will be holding our Easter Service, starting at 10am, all are welcome to Join us for the Service, which will include, songs, dance, a talk from Simon and contributions from the classes in Key Stage Two. The theme for the service is ‘The Colours of Easter.’ I hope that you can join us.

On Friday our worship time in school will be a special service of reflection with every class sharing something that they are sorry for. On Friday afternoon the school will close at 2.15pm for the Easter Break.

Please remember that Monday 17th April is a staff training day and so the Summer Term will begin for children on Tuesday 18th April. I hope that everyone can have a wonderful Easter Break and I look forward to seeing you for what is sure to be a fantastic Summer Term at RTS.
