Before we look ahead to a busy week in school I would like to thank everyone who supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning in school on Friday. It was great to see a full hall; we will let you know the total raised in our next newsletter.

Also on the newsletter will be a reminder that the deadline for registering as a candidate in our parent governor elections in this Friday at 9am. Please make sure that you get your application in if you wish to stand.

This Monday starts with an exciting project for Coverdale Class who will be heading out on their first Bio Diversity Walk. In the afternoon we welcome PCSO Will Champion who will be talking to all children in yr5/6 about staying safe on the internet.

On Wednesday the Children will enjoy a special performance of The Wizard of Oz in the Hall during the morning. After school our yr3/4 football team will be talking part in the first football tournament of the year at HHS organised by Sporting Influence.

Thursday morning sees the school celebrate our Harvest Festival on the theme of ‘An Environmental Harvest.’ The service takes place in the Hall starting at 9.15am with all parents of our new starters welcome to squeeze in and join us. Please bring your Harvest donations to school Hall on the morning of the service. All donations will be turned into harvest hampers and handed out at our Harvest Tea on Friday. Any remaining gifts will be donated to the Harrogate Food Bank.

On Friday Airedale and Bishopdale Classes will be visiting St John’s Church for the first time.

The photos below show last week’s Yellow Jumper winners and photos of our community ambassadors at the Macmillan Coffee morning.
