I hope that everyone had a wonderful half term break, despite the weather, and that you are refreshed and ready for the busy half term ahead.
Monday morning at 9am is the deadline for submitting your votes for the new parent governor. The count will take place on Thursday 2nd November with the result being announced before the end of the week. You should also have received the latest newsletter containing all of the key dates for this term, including all of the important dates for Christmas.
On Tuesday Coverdale Class will be escaping the worst of the autumn weather as they enjoy a live web link with scientists on a pacific coral reef. After school our year 5/6 football team will be taking part in their first tournament of the year at Rossett Sports Centre, good luck to all of the children taking part.
On Wednesday our year one children will be completing the hearing tests started earlier in the term. After school our unbeaten year 3/4 football team will compete in their final round of matches at Harrogate High School.
With Bonfire Night fast approaching we are pleased to welcome the Fire Service to school for their annual fire safety talks to all children during Thursday afternoon.
On Friday we should receive delivery of our Book Fair ready for next week’s Book Fair.
We end the week with a treat for all children as we welcome Bob Hartmann to school on Friday morning. Bob is a nationally renowned children’s storyteller who brings Bible stories to life in a wonderfully engaging and energetic manner. Every child in school will get the chance to see Bob and enjoy his stories.
The following week is a very busy one for everyone in school with our Bonfire Lunch on Tuesday, New Parents’ Reading Evening on Tuesday and Book fair on Thursday.
