Thank you to everyone who supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning last Friday. The next newsletter will confirm the amount raised and it was great to see so many people in the hall; special thanks to all of the Friends who gave up their time to serve and tidy up.

The weather is looking increasingly wet as we enter October; a gentle reminder to everyone that the children come to school with a coat. Even on the brightest autumn morning rain is never far away and we do want to try and get out to play even in damp conditions which is impossible if you don’t have a coat on.

Choir with Mrs Wake should be back to normal on Monday after school. On Tuesday we welcome Grace Cauldwell from Bilton Methodist Chapel who will be leading our worship as we focus on the school value of service this week.

On Thursday Mr Starkey will be leading our TAG Rugby Team to the first Tournament of the year at Harrogate Grammar School after school and weather permitting.

On Sunday 6th The school will be attending the annual Harrogate in Bloom Awards Ceremony at St Wilfred’s Church starting at 2pm. Children from RTS will be giving a presentation and we hope to have a small choir from children in year 5/6. The school is due to receive a special award for its work in promoting gardening in schools.

Because of this event the planned Gardening morning at school, which was provisionally timetabled for Saturday 5th October will be held later in the term; the date will be confirmed in the next newsletter.

The photos below show last week’s yellow jumper winners, children visiting the cycling fan park and some of our community ambassadors helping at the recent Macmillan Coffee Morning.
