We have made it to the start of the last week of a very busy term. The chicks from Hatch It flew back to the farm last Friday after more than doubling in size over the 2 weeks that they spent with us.

This week starts on Monday with a special afternoon of RE. All of the children will work in different groups to look at the Easter Story through 9 school values. On Tuesday we welcome Amy Lyons from St Aidan’s for her last PE session of the term. We also look forward to welcoming Jane Kent from the diocese of Leeds who will be visiting school during the morning. At 11am we will be holding a special service of quiet reflection for Easter in the Hall. In the afternoon we welcome senior members of the local community to school for the Easter Community Tea. Please note that there is no choir practise after school.

On Wednesday key stage one will be holding their day of Easter celebrations whilst the children in year 5 will be visiting St John’s to join the congregation for the midweek Eucharist Service where they will learn more about its meaning and links to Easter. After school on Wednesday the Orchestra will be performing for friends and parents at 3.30pm in the school hall.

On Thursday the children from Wharfedale and Wensleydale will be visiting Eden Camp at the end of their World War Two Topic.

On Friday we will hold our end of term Easter Service at St John’s starting at 10.30am everyone is welcome to join us. Please remember that we finish for the holidays at 2.15pm and re-open on Tuesday 25th April following a staff training day.

Finally thank you to everyone who helped with the Friends Easter Bunny Bounce; we will announce our grand total after the Easter Break.

Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your chocolate.
