This week looks like being one of the busiest of the year so far with lots happening all over school. On Monday we will have a special worship time led by the volunteers who organise the Baby Basics Charity which the school is supporting this December.

After school on Monday we will be holding our advent service at St John’s Church. The advent lantern procession will start from school at 4.20pm and walk up Bilton Lane to St John’s. The service will start at 4.30pm when the procession arrives and should last for about 30 minutes. Last year it was very well supported and I hope many of you will be able to join us again this year.

On Tuesday we are looking forward to the delivery of our Christmas tree and putting up our decorations in the hall.

Wednesday is a busy day for the children in Nidderdale and Swaledale who will be holding their Victorian Day in school; the day will include a parents’ session in the library during the afternoon. We also welcome Mr Green from the Gospel Hall to lead our worship. After school our year 5/6 footballers are back at Harrogate High School playing the latest series of matches.

Thursday sees our Nativity dress rehearsal performed in front of the rest of the school before next week’s performances.

Friday is the busiest day of the week with our big Christmas Fair fundraiser in the Hall. The friends will be face painting in the morning and the event will open for parents at 3.15pm Please note that the entrance will be through the Hall outside door and not through our normal entrance area. Thank you to everyone who donated chocolate to the tombola stall last Friday.

Anyone coming into school will note that the staff have had to move the staffroom to the library whilst their staffroom is being plumbed into the new entrance area; hopefully all of this work will be completed by 21st December.

The photographs below show children on the newly named Richard Taylor Bus and the yellow Jumper winners from last week.
