Before we look ahead to another busy week at school we need to celebrate the achievements of our key stage two science team. On Friday they took part in a prestigious science competition and walked away with the ‘Inspiration Stem Challenge’ Science trophy beating teams from KS3 on their way to the trophy. Thanks to Mrs Harrison and Mrs Fleming who accompanied the team.

On Monday a group of children from year 3&4 will be participating in the first MAT Masterchef Competition for Primary Schools being hosted at St Aidan’s in the afternoon. Our entry remains a secret but we will let you know how we get on next week. Also after school on Monday children from year 5&6 will take part in the annual rounders competition weather permitting. At the same time the friends will be hosting their final film night of the year for children in KS2.

On Tuesday the children in year six will be performing their musical for the rest of the school as a dress rehearsal before they perform for parents and friends on Wednesday and Thursday nights, both performances start at 6pm.

On Wednesday Ribblesdale and Dentdale Classes will receive a visit from a Hedgehog Rescue Team who will be telling them all about the life of a hedgehog and how we can help to protect them.

Thursday sees our new starters for September 2017 making their 2nd visit to school.

Saturday is the day of the St John’s Church Fair starting at 11am with a short performance from our own choir.

Photographs below show last week’s yellow jumper winners as well as the winning science team with their trophy.
