Thank you to all of the friends and parents who supported the Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday last week, we will announce the total raised in our next newsletter. Congratulation to our year 3&4 footballers who won 3 and drew 1 of their games at Harrogate High School on Wednesday. Week 3 is on Wednesday 5th October at the usual time.

This week is busy one with something happening in school on every day. On Monday we start with Mellors, our catering contractor who will be in during the week working with some of our junior classes on good nutrition and exercise through the use of their smoothie bike. The Rev Andy Patrick will be in school on Monday morning helping children to write some of the prayers that we will be using during the year in our worship times. On Monday afternoon a number of our children will be taking part in a para-olympics sports festival in Ripon organised by the Harrogate School Sports Partnership. After school the friends will be holding their 2nd hand uniform sale.

On Tuesday we welcome Miss Lyons from St Aidan’s who will be working with some of our classes to support the delivery of our PE curriculum. On Wednesday the kitchens will be serving a special new starters lunch for some of the parents and children who started in September.

On Thursday we will be holding our special Harvest festival on the theme of seeds with all classes taking part. The service starts at 9.15 am and all parents of new starters are welcome to join us in the hall. All of the donations of produce will be made into Harvest hampers by the Friends on Thursday ready to be handed out on Friday when we invite the elderly in the community to our Harvest tea which starts at 2pm on Friday 7th October. We will also be looking for help distributing some of the Harvest hampers to those in the community who are unable to attend our tea. Gifts for the Harvest festival can be brought into school at any time this week.

On Friday morning the team from Tempest Photography will be in school to take individual and family group photographs.

The clubs running this week include the Cycling Club, Netball, Tag Rugby and Street Dance.

The photograph below shows the yellow jumper winners from last week. And a photograph of George Lever and Mrs Crisell at the National Space Centre this weekend where George was collecting a prize linked to last year’s space week activities.
