Before we look forward to the week ahead, I would like to thank all of the parents and friends of the school who supported the friends Macmillan Coffee Morning, it was fantastic to see so many people in the hall on Friday morning.

This week is national Fire Prevention Week, and we are delighted to be able to welcome the Fire Team from RAF Menwith Hill who will be delivering fire safety talks to all of the children on Thursday 6th October.

It is also World Space Week with many classes enjoying space focussed science lessons in the days ahead. Finally, October is the start of Black History Month, and we will be celebrating the achievements of people from Britain and around the World who have overcome prejudice to make a difference in their chosen field.

On Tuesday the Friends of the school will be holding their first pre-loved uniform bank sale, it is a great opportunity to purchase good quality uniform at great value.

We are busy showing prospective parents around school this half term, if you know anyone interested in a place at RTS next September please ask them to get in touch and book a place on a tour.

Looking ahead on Wednesday 12th October we will be holding our harvest festival in the Hall; if you are the parent of a child who has started at RTS this term you are welcome to attend the service in the hall. Please enter via the main entrance after dropping off on Wednesday morning.

From Monday 10th we will be happy to receive any donations of tins or fresh produce. Gifts received will be split between the Harrogate Food Bank and the elderly in the local community.

The photos below show the Bistro Buddies serving lunch, Mrs Styles leading the new girls football club and the yellow jumper winners from the last two weeks.
