Before we look ahead to this week, I want to congratulate all of the children who were awarded the super pupil certificates for their class last week. They were recognised for their hard work, enthusiasm and setting a wonderful example for everyone else. Their names will be published in the next school newsletter.

As the evenings get darker this week is a special ‘Star Gazing’ for the science at home team with lots of resources on their website. It is another step towards normality for the school as we begin to welcome back our external music teachers who are following a detailed risk assessment to ensure the children can begin instrumental lessons again.

The next newsletter, will be published this week and will contain important information about the autumn term parents’ consultation meetings that will take place in the last week of this half term. The newsletter will also provide information about our Harvest Festival. The theme of this year’s celebration is ‘A Harvest Rainbow of Hope’. Each class will be celebrating a different colour of the Harvest and the service will be shared with all of our parents on Thursday 23rd October, we are using the extra time to film the different contributions from each class. We are speaking to the Harrogate Food Bank about the best way for us to support them as our chosen harvest charity.

As the weather continues to become more Autumnal it is really important that the children come to school with an appropriate coat. Getting outside in light rain is much better than having to stay inside as a bubble because someone doesn’t have a coat with them and we are trying to prioritise learning outside as much as possible at the current time.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone for their patience and cooperation as we all work together to stay safe and respond to the daily challenges which the virus restrictions bring.
