This week appears to be officially the busiest week of the spring term so far with something exciting happening on almost every day of the week.

On Monday and Tuesday we are delighted to welcome Glynn Pidgeon who will be holding Judo taster sessions for every age group in the hall. Also on Monday our school council will be involve in filming for the Multi Academy Trust web site. At lunchtime on Monday the Mandarin Club will run as usual.

Tuesday is also national safer internet day; all of the classes in school will be looking at ways of staying safe when using computers. Mr Starkey is currently organising an information evening for parents on this important subject. NY Police will also be involved and a date for next half term will be announced shortly.

We also look forward to welcoming Rev Roberta Topham to lead our worship in the afternoon.

After school on Tuesday the Friends Spring Disco will take place in the Hall with three planned session for the different age groups.

On Wednesday we welcome Terry Kirk who will continue his archaeology work with Coverdale in the afternoon. At 2pm the choir will be having an additional Choir Practice as they prepare for their Rotary Charity Concert. After school on Wednesday Street Dance Club will run as normal.

Thursday starts with Wharfedale and Wensleydale Classes who will be holding their World War Two day and welcoming the expert, Dave Thurwell, who will be bringing many of his fascinating artefacts. In the afternoon on Thursday Rev Andy Patrick will be working with one of our key stage two classes as they look in more detail at one of our core values. Chess Club will run after school on Thursday.

On Friday a number of our Yr5/6 children will be visiting the Grammar School to participate in their annual maths challenge competition, we go as defending champions and we wish our team well.

Back at school Nidderdale Class will be working with Ian Johnson who will be returning to plant trees in the school grounds.
