Welcome back to what is already looking like a very busy spring term.

Please remember that the new term starts for children on Tuesday 9th January as Monday the 8th is a staff training day when all staff will be working with colleagues from across the multi academy trust on a range of professional development courses.

The week ahead is a quiet one as we get back into the swing of the new term and so I will use this blog to look ahead to an action packed term.

This term we will be squeezing in ‘Sport Relief, World Book Day, Fairtrade Fortnight and World Maths Day’. Our sporting teams will be participating in TAG Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Dodgeball and Tchouckball (trust me it’s a real sport). After School Clubs will include Chess Club and the Harrogate Theatre Club.

At the start of 2018 we will also be participating in the RSPB Big Schools’ Birdwatch which runs until the 23rd February. If you are interested in helping out with this project please contact the school office.

The friends will be holding their first meeting on Monday 15th January at 7pm in school; please come along if you want to get involved in their activities for this term.

The first newsletter of the spring term will include a list of the key dates for your diary and will be published this week.

The school values that will be our focus for the term are service and forgiveness.

The photographs below show the final yellow jumper winners of the autumn term 2017.

Happy New Year

A Symonds
