This week the theme for our Wednesday Worship and some of our learning in and out of school is sport. We have all missed sport since the lockdown began, whether watching it or participating in a team the lack of sport is something that has made us all realise just how important sport is for everyone. At this time we would normally be planning to hold our annual sports day on the field at RTS. It is one of the highlights of our year and something that is enjoyed by children and parents alike. We are hoping to announce plans for a virtual sports day in the next few weeks that will be open to every child in the school to join in with wherever they are. We have some sporting success to celebrate this week as the year 1 and year 2 agility team came 3rd in the virtual sports competition. Well done to everyone who took part and thank you for representing the RTS team so brilliantly.

Mrs Wake has been busy pulling together the images sent in of lots of you reading at home. It has certainly cheered staff at school up to see so many busy readers. If you would like to see the video, click on the link below.

I am constantly amazed by the wonderful work which you send in for us to enjoy. Last week, I was particularly impressed by the prayer hands that were created by Annabel in Nidderdale Class.

Thank you to everyone who followed the guidance that we provided for children returning to school last week, it helped to make last week work very well. If you are not back at school yet, we are missing you and we look forward to seeing you as soon as we can bring more of you back to the school site.

Finally I know many of you have been enjoying the kindness calendars which have been posted on the class seesaw pages. This week the theme is kindness and music. One of the tasks is to find out the favourite piece of music of other people. I have shared one of my favourite pieces of music via the link below. I hope you enjoy it.
