Important Snow Closure Message for Parents.
I am writing to confirm that Richard Taylor school site will be closed today, Tuesday 2nd February with all learning moving online for the day.
The Met Office have shared an amber weather warning for snow and ice in Harrogate between 3am and 1pm Tuesday 2nd Feb with disruption expected to roads and rail travel. Early snowfall combined with a confirmed forecast of four to five hours of heavy snow for the rest of the morning has informed this decision. The safety of children parents of staff will always remain our first priority on days like this. Learning will be available for all children on line and the school will re-open for critical worker and vulnerable children on Wednesday 3rd February.
