Hello and welcome to the new Nidderdale Class Blog.

We’ve had a busy start to the year – already we’ve been on a school trip, written to our penpals and practised our Harvest song.

Our penpals are Class 4 of Barham Primary School in Kent; we wrote and introduced ourselves and we’re looking forward to hearing from them soon.

Last Tuesday we dressed as Victorians and went off to Beningbrough Hall where we learned how to make polish and then we used it to polish silver. We also learned how to do the washing the Victorian way – it was hard work!! Do you know children our age would start work at 5:00 am and not finish until after 8:00 pm sometimes! The Victorians were pretty mean to children.

Harvest is coming up soon. We’ve been practising the Harvest Tango to perform as part of it. We’ll be back to tell you about it in a couple of weeks!
