In English, we have read chapter 2 of ‘The Iron Man’ and used our inference skills to discuss Hogarth’s feelings. We have made predictions about what we think is going to happen next. We have also been learning about inverted commas.
In Maths, we have been learning to count in 4s, recognise number patterns and finding addition and subtraction fact families.
This week in Science, we focussed on the scientific enquiry type ‘identifying, classifying and sorting’. We sorted objects that were magnetic and discovered that only materials made from metal are magnetic. We also found out that not all metals are magnetic.
We really enjoyed ending the week by watching the production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
