Monday

We made a space time line in our topic today. We met Le Yan (Amiee) and Ye Xin (Vicky) from Shanghai.

Amiee is going to teach us maths for 2 weeks! We also got to watch a show with a chinese dragon. We had a special worship to welcome our amazing Chinese visitors.

Tuesday

Maths first day with Chinese teachers (they sat at the back of the class and watched us do maths) In I.C.T we made a Neil Armstrong quiz, here’s a fact- He learnt how to fly a plane before he learnt to drive a car!

Wednesday

In PE we did a dance called the space dance.

We listened to Holst’s music including Venus and Mars from The Planet Suite. In our sketch books, we responded by drawing lines and shapes in different colours.

The Chinese teachers did maths with us and a lot of teachers were at the back of the class writing notes and listening. They thought it was very interesting and fun to listen to. We read a book called One Giant Leap by Don Brown #best book ever!

Thursday

In art we finished our rocket paintings and we started Neil Armstrong portraits.

In literacy, we started our moon landing newspaper reports. We had to try to include lots of time openers and facts.

Friday

In science we have finished our teeth posters which are looking really good. We have also learnt about journeys in R.E, and in the afternoon we’ve had super maths with the Chinese teachers! We have learnt about animals in French!

Zaijian (bye in Chinese)
