English

On the first day back after the Easter holiday, we wrote our newspaper reports about Aaron Ralston, former engineer and canyoneering enthusiast, who cut off his own arm!

We’ve also been doing lots of SPaG revision, leading up to the dreaded Y6 SATs!

Maths

In Maths we’ve been doing SATs question sheets and covering a lot of multiplication and division facts.

Did you know that the formula for finding the perimeter of a rectangle is (length + width) x2? The formula for the area of a rectangle is length x width.

Brilliant.

Geography

In Geography, we have been learning about all the fifty European countries, such as Estonia, Greece, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czech Republic and Denmark.

For our homework we had to research a European country as well.

SPaG

In SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar), we’ve been doing a lot on Main clauses and Subordinate clauses and past/ present progressive.

Bilton Gala

Unfortunately, Bilton gala was cancelled due to the poor weather though it was very hot on the bank holiday weekend.
