The Giant’s necklace

We finished reading and answering questions about the Giant’s necklace. It has a very shocking and unexpected ending. We cannot tell you what or it would ruin the story for you, but definitely read it!

Maths and English

This week we have done some more practice questions for our SATs. We did lots of work in groups and talked about the questions and figured the answers out together.

IXL

We have been using the computer program called IXL to do Maths and English revision. It is really fun as you play on it and get rewards. We played games with our friends.

Bed Race

Everyone now has completed their bed race art. We are looking forward to seeing the completed bed!

The team are running to try and raise funds for the new RTS nature garden. You can sponsor them if you would like to.

Good luck team RTS!!!

SATs are next week

It’s nearly time for SATs. We have worked hard and prepared for them. Our teachers have written a letter to us and given us a poem. We are looking forward to Friday and as we are having a games day to celebrate all our hard work. Our teachers have been very kind and reassured us about SATs. This is the poem we were sent from our teachers:

SATs don’t measure sports,

SATs don’t measure art,

SATs don’t measure music,

or the kindness in your heart.

SATs don’t see your beauty,

SATs don’t know your worth,

SATs don’t see the reasons you were put upon this earth.

SATs don’t see your magic,

how you make others smile,

SATs don’t time how quickly you can run a mile.

SATs don’t hear your laughter,

or see you’ve come this far,

SATs are just a tiny glimpse of who you really are.

So sitting at your table, with a pencil and your test,

Remember SATs aren’t who you are,

remember you’re the best.
