Topic

In topic this week we have been looking at a photograph about evacuees and answering questions about it. This is an example of one of them:

“Where do you think the photo was taken?”

Maths

This week have been learning about perimeter and area of compound and non compound shapes. We calculated the perimeter by adding up all the sides and we calculated the area by multiplying the length by the width. We have also been finding the area of triangles. We did the height times the base divided by 2, because a triangle is half a rectangle or square.

Literacy

In English we have been learning about the story of Arthur and Merlin. We have been identifying DNA (determiner, noun, adjective) and noun phrases to improve our writing. We have also been drawing and describing our own mythical beast using noun phrases.
