This half term we are finishing our novel Wonder then starting Harry Potter. We had a class discussion and answered some questions.
In Maths we have been doing word problems using all 4 operations. We have been multiplying and using formal written methods instead of doing it mentally or using jottings.
On Friday, we had a story teller called Bob. He told us the bible story of Keziah and added a few different characters. He helped us make a story about a chicken called Charlie and a rock called Roxane. They went to a fish and chip shop, but they had fried chicken on the menu, so Charlie had a big argument with the owner of the fish and chip shop and Charlie won, but Roxane was in the grease trying to save him. In the end they ran far away and they never went to that fish and chip shop again.
In Science, we have been doing about solids, liquids and gases. We investigated how mixing cornflour and water makes a solid and a liquid. We also learnt how water can be a solid, liquid and a gas.
