Monday

On Monday morning, the year 5s went into Wensleydale and were taught by Mrs Simpson, who showed us some interesting videos about the Titanic’s lifeboats (which there were too little of) while the year 6s rehearsed for their leaver’s service. In the afternoon, we enjoyed the lovely, summer sunshine, while 2 games of rounders were played.

Tuesday

Today, the year 5’s went into Wensleydale, were taught all about the Titanic’s lifeboats, and answered some questions to do with the great ship. In addition, that morning we solved a murder mystery quiz- Simon committed the crime, we then had our lunch. In school, we have been fortunate to have Frederico come from Italy to do fun science experiments about water and it’s exciting mysteries!

Wednesday

In the morning, we created our very own Be Active posters to convince people to do activities that are more physical; it is one of our five areas of wellbeing. After lunch, Mrs Wilson did a huge Catch the Flag tournament with Wensleydale, before an exciting came of rounders.

Thursday

Thursday, we had a fantastic induction day, where we enjoyed drawing personal Coats of Arms and the year six went to their brand new High Schools. After lunch, which was strange without the year 6s, we wrote letters to our reception buddies, who are joining our spectacular school in September.

Friday

On Friday, the year 6’s did their leavers service rehearsal, while the others went into Wensleydale, but we had Mrs Lovell, who in the morning let us finish of our buddy letters then we thought about our aspirations in a year and in a few years’ time. In the afternoon, the year 5’s did rounders, while our leavers practiced their dance, which will be performed in the church next Friday at the leaver’s service.
