On Monday, Bob arrived 2 hours early, so that he could come into worship and get his hair shaved off, which he has been growing for a year exactly a year. He did this for his granddaughter, who sadly had bone cancer. But, the good news is she is recovering.

English

This week in English we have been learning about relative clauses. Relative clauses, which we use in our writing, are shown to be a big help. As well as that, we have written a diary entry in the mind set of Harry Potter. We wrote about the time when he went to the zoo on Dudley’s birthday. In addition to this we have been making posters for wands. Would you like to buy one?

Maths

In maths, we have been learning about perimeter and area. We learnt that: if you times the length of your shape by its width then you will find its area; and to find the perimeter you have to add the width to the length and then multiply the answer by 2. There are other ways to find perimeter such as add each of the sides together or double the opposite side. In addition to this, we have also found out how to find the unknown sides of rectangles and other polygons.

On Tuesday, we did the first guided reading session. Red group are reading Skellig . Orange group are reading Nightmare. Yellow group are reading Wreck of the Zanzibar. Green group are reading Worst Witch. Blue group are reading Eco- Wolf.

Then tonight there will be some tchoukball games every Wednesday and if you are wondering what it is, it is basically netball but to score you must through a ball on to a trampoline.
