This week we have a different week because it is Christmas fair. The year sixes also hosted the community tea. Some children are representing our school at a swimming gala, we wish them all luck!

Community tea

At the community tea (if you don’t already know) older members of the community come in to see our work, enjoy a cup of tea and a mince pie, and have a chat!

Christmas fair

This week it is very exciting because it’s the Christmas fair. All the year sixes and year fives from Coverdale, Wharfedale and Wensleydale are making games for the other classes to play. The money raised goes towards the school. It is homework to make the games, but it is very good fun to play it and man the stall. Sometimes the others manning the stall could go and play other games, but as long as there is at least one person still there. Over all the Christmas fair is one of the best times of the year.

Maths

In Maths, we are still working on our fractions, specifically dividing fractions using ‘keep, change, flip’.

English

In English, we have been planning a piece of descriptive writing about the forest from the book ‘Wonder’ we look forward to reading our finished masterpieces next week!
