This week, we are SUPER excited as it is the lead up to Christmas. We have also made our Christmas fair games for the 8th of December when we will have the games on display. The whole school can have a try at playing our games and raise money for the school.

This week, in maths, we have been looking at fractions and how to simplify them. We have been doing calculations like this 14/16=7/8.

In literacy, we have been looking at something called figurative language. In the book Wonder, we are looking at the part when Auggie goes into the forest on his field trip. On Wednesday, we will be writing some descriptive pieces of work to describe the forest.

This week, we will finish our book Wonder and on Thursday, we will go to the Everyman cinema to watch the film. There is a part in the book when Auggie gets a new puppy and we can’t wait to see the new dog in the movie. We think that the dog symbolizes a new beginning in the family and think that it makes Auggie and Via want to start over.
