We hope you have had a fantastic half term holiday and managed to do some fun things.
This week Mrs Phelan is back in school teaching a Year 1 group of children, but will be keeping a look out for all your wonderful seesaw home learning. Mrs Jackson will try to comment on some of your work on Seesaw during the week.
This week our theme is all about books and authors
Our activities are posted on Seesaw, including:
- make a reading den
- listen to a story https://www.booksfortopics.com/storytime-online-5-7
- Retell your favourite book
- Emoji Book opinion
- A-Z of book titles.
- Tongue twisters https://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/tongue-twisters
- Proper nouns/nouns
- Art pattern
We have added a 30 day Challenge for you… have a go at as many as you can – they are all great life skills!
**Look out for the Tuesday Challenge and Thursdays science investigation too!
Maths this week
We are continuing to use BBC Bitesize for our daily maths activity. The focus this week is sharing and grouping . The link to BBC Bitesize will be on Seesaw.
*Our recommended maths ICT game is game Daily 10 on Topmarks – try it every day and see how many you can score each day! It’s great fun!
Also check out Seesaw to have a go at our maths game of the week – Strike it out! All you need is a pencil and a piece of paper.
Keep safe and well!
Love from Mrs Phelan and Mrs Jackson x
