Thank you to all of the choir members who performed at the St John’s Summer Fair on Saturday; they all sang beautifully and helped to get the event of to a great start.

This week is already looking like a busy one. On Monday and Tuesday the children from Wensleydale Class will be completing the two day Bikeability Programme at School. In the afternoon we welcome Richard Whitely from Bilton Library who will be promoting the Library Services Summer Reading Challenge 2017.Our school normally has a huge number of children ready to enjoy the challenge and I hope that this year will be the same.

On Tuesday children from Yr5 will visit Harrogate High School’s Science Team for the last time; this has been a great project with the children having an amazing time. After school starting at 6pm The violin group will hold their summer concert. This will be confirmed on Monday morning as we wait to see if Mrs Else, who has been unwell, is well enough to lead the concert.

Our current year six children begin their transition days on Wednesday. Thursday is the only day that all children from year six will be out and this is the day when our children will move in the morning to meet their new teachers. In the afternoon the children from Ribblesdale will be hosting a fundraising event in the hall from 2pm for parents as they aim to raise the funds needed to sponsor a panda.

On Friday between 6 and 8pm at school the friends will be holding the year six leavers disco.

Finally good luck to our rounders team, who will be taking part in the regional finals after school on Wednesday.

The photo below shows children from our fantastic year six performance which took place last week.
