Before we look ahead to what will be a very festive and enjoyable week I would like to thank everyone who helped with the Christmas Fair on Friday; it was a fantastic community event and it was wonderful to see so many people supporting the school. Special mention must go to Mrs Singleton for organising the whole event. We will let you know our final total as soon as all of the money has been counted.

Onto this week, as we have avoided the worst of the winter weather, the community tea will take place in the hall on Monday afternoon from 2pm onwards. On Tuesday morning, the children in KS2 will get their chance to see this year’s nativity performance as the infants have a dress rehearsal starting at 9.40am. In the afternoon, our busy choir will be performing at the Methodist Chapel Christmas Lunch. On Saturday, the choir will be performing at the Conference Centre as part of the Charity Christmas Concert. Good luck to all involved and thank you to Mrs Wake for organising the Choir’s involvement.

Wednesday and Thursday see this year’s nativity performances. Both performances will start at 1.30pm in the school hall. After the performances parents and grandparents can collect the performers slightly earlier than normal, please note the children in KS2 will finish at the normal time of 3.15pm.

After school on Thursday, we look forward to welcoming the Methodist Chapel who will be holding their annual Community Concert in the school hall at 6pm.

The end of the week sees the whole school putting on their Christmas Jumpers to raise money for the charity ‘Save the Children’. On the same day, we will be having our Christmas lunch complete with crackers and sprouts. In the afternoon on Friday, we look forward to seeing Mr Starkey perform his charity ‘Strictly Come Dancing Jive’ for the children at RTS and St Peter’s School. Also on Friday at 2.30pm, the Friends Prayer Group will be holding their last meeting of the term in the staffroom.

The photographs below show yellow jumper winners for the last two weeks as well as a photo from the Christmas Fair.

Finally, despite avoiding the heavy snow over the weekend, please remember to stick to the gritted pathways when entering school. Thank you.
