Thank you to everyone who supported last week’s book fair, it was a very successful event and I look forward to letting you know how much was raised as soon as we have a total.
As Monday in Armistice Day our worship time with be focussed on our 2 minutes of silence at 11am.
On Tuesday the friends will be holding their cake sale after school at 3.15 in the hall. Some of the children from key stage one will be taking part in the Infant Agility Event after school, thank you to Mr Starkey who will be taking the children to the event at the Grammar School. At 1pm we welcome Jim McPhail from the Gospel Hall to lead our worship.
Also on Tuesday we will be holding our New Parents’ Reading Information Evening in the school hall starting at 6.30pm. As well as a warm welcome and refreshments it is a great chance to find out how you can support your child as a new reader. Both EYFS staff will be there as well as Mrs Simpson, our literacy coordinator and myself. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
On Wednesday Coverdale will be going online to complete an Ocean acidification live experiment.
Thursday is our Bags2School Collection Day so now is a great time to clear out your wardrobes..
Friday is National Children in Need Day and everyone at RTS can help by bringing along a handful of pennies and using them to create our Pudsey Picture in the school library. Look out for a photo in the next newsletter.
After school on Friday it will be chess club as usual in preparation for the Harrogate School’s Chess Competition, which the school is hosting on the morning of Saturday 23rd November.
With the weather set to turn cold and wintery this week please remember to send your children with a coat for playtimes. We still have children arriving at school without the clothing to enjoy their playtimes.
Finally a reminder that weather permitting we will be holding our autumn garden tidy up on the morning of November 23rd. Bring your wellies and give a hand for an hour to tidy up our gardens before winter sets in.
