I will start the week by thanking all of the parents who gave their time to help at the Friends Discos last week which were enjoyed by everyone who attended them.

The friends are busy at the start of this week as they run the film night for the children in Ribblesdale and Dentdale after school on Monday. At lunch time on Monday mandarin club will run as usual.

Tuesday has a strong sporting feel with Amy Lyons from St Aidan’s delivering lessons to some of our classes in the morning whilst in the afternoon small groups of children identified as gifted and talented will be taking part in sports activities led by the team from sporting influence. Tuesday worship will be led by Ruth from the team at St John’s. Tuesday lunch is also the special Valentines lunch organised by our wonderful kitchen team. Also on Tuesday Mrs Else, our violin teacher, will be putting on a short demonstration for the children in key stage one.

On Wednesday we welcome Andy Patrick from St John’s who will spend the afternoon with one of the key stage two classes as they explore the meaning of our values by prayer writing. After school street dance club will be held

On Thursday chess club will run as normal after school and by Friday we will all be ready for the first half term of 2017 which is the following week.

The photo below shows last week’s yellow jumper winners.
