Before we look forward to a busy week at school I would like to congratulate our year 3/4 Football Team who won the Harrogate School’s Football Tournament last week and have qualified for the regional finals without conceding a goal. Thanks goes to Mrs Norman who accompanied the team.

This week is Harvest Festival at Richard Taylor School; our theme this week is a Sustainable Harvest and all new parents are welcome to come and join us for our service of celebration on Thursday in the school hall, starting at 9.15am. This year our harvest gifts will be divided between the local community and the Harrogate Foodbank.

The latest stage of our Wildlife Wellbeing Garden has been completed with the installation of our decking. I am delighted to say that we have received a grant of £4,000 from the Two Ridings Community Foundation which will allow us to complete the work to our fantastic environmental area.

On Tuesday Mrs Styles will be holding the first of her Wellbeing Coffee Mornings between 9 and 10 in Arkendale Room; you are welcome to come along for a biscuit and a chat. We also look forward to welcoming Simon to lead our worship at 1pm.

Following our Harvest Festival on Thursday the Friends will be creating the Harvest boxes in the hall ready to be distributed on Friday. On Thursday at 5.30pm there is the parent’s meeting for those children going on our residential trip to Winmarleigh this year.

On Friday our Eco Ambassadors will be having their 2nd meeting of the year at 1pm whilst our Community Tea starts at 2pm. The Friends Prayer Meeting will be in the staffroom at 2.30pm.

On Saturday we will be supporting the St John’s Harvest Event at 6pm in St John’s Church. On Sunday there will be a free family movie event and children’s remembrance service at St Wilfred’s Church starting at 2pm.

The final week of term will include our autumn parent’s consultation evening. Look out for information on how to book your appointment time this week.

The photos below show our yellow jumper winners from last week, the children and prize winners from last week’s Harrogate in Bloom Awards and the fire team from RAF Menwith Hill.
