The new term really springs into life this week as we start our sports numeracy programme with Ryan from Sporting Influence on Monday morning in the hall. Many of the classes from KS2 will be watching the online launch of the Chris Evans 500 word story writing challenge in the afternoon with a view to taking part in this year’s competition.

The friends will be having their first meeting of 2018 in school on Monday, starting at 7pm. Please come along if you are able to support the work of the friends.

Tuesday sees the first meeting of our school council in 2018 whilst Mr Green will be leading whole school worship at the start of the afternoon.

After school on Wednesday, children from Yr5/6 will be taking part in the first Tchuockball session at Harrogate High School.

I am delighted to say that Angela Smith, ASDA’s community champion will be coming to hear readers in upper key stage two on Friday morning.

Finally, we are shortly to take part in the RSPB Big School’s Bird Watch. If anyone has a pair of binoculars, which they could lend to the school to the school for us to use, we would take very good care of them.

The photo below shows the first yellow jumper winners of 2018.
