Welcome to the start of the last week of what has been a very long but successful autumn term 2017. Before we look to the week ahead, I would like to congratulate Mrs Wake and all of the wonderful choir for their fantastic performance at the Conference Centre Charity Concert on Saturday night. I am looking forward to enjoying their special festive concert in school on Tuesday 19th December at 6pm.

Thank you to everyone who supported the ‘Save the Children’ Christmas Jumper Day. The photos below show what a fantastic day it was enriched by a brilliant Christmas lunch and a superb dancing display by Mr Starkey in the afternoon.

Onto this week, there are parties for every class with Ribblesdale and Dentdale having their party on Monday afternoon. Airedale and Bishopdale will have their party on Tuesday morning. Swaledale and Nidderdale are on Wednesday afternoon and the final party is for Wharfedale and Wensleydale on Thursday afternoon.

On Wednesday at 10.30am, we will be holding our special reflective Christmas Hopes worship when each class will light a candle and share their hope for the world.

Our Carol Service will be held at 10am on Thursday 21st December at St John’s Church. It is always a great event and I hope to see many of you there.

The last day of this term is Friday 22nd December. After singing carols around the tree, we will be finishing for the Christmas holidays at 2.15pm.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the work of the school this term, parents, grandparents, children, teachers, governors and friends have all helped to make ours a special community.

Have a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 9th January 2018 when the spring term starts again.

A Symonds
