Before we look forward to next week I would like to thank everyone for their support with Children in Need on Friday. One of the photos below will show the Pudsey picture and I look forward to bringing you the final total when it has been counted.

This week is a busy one in school; on Monday we look forward to welcoming Dr Johnson from St John’s Church who will be leading our worship time as she introduces this year’s Christingle Appeal for the Children’s Society.

Orchestra Practise will take place at 2.30 with Choir Practise after school.

On Tuesday we look forward to welcoming Rev Grace Cauldwell from Bilton Methodists to lead our whole school worship at 1pm. After school the Friends will be holding their first film night of the year in the school hall.

The children in Bishopdale Class will be welcoming their parents to a special Tiger Tea party in the school hall from 2pm on Wednesday. This is after their study of the famous children’s book, ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr. After school on Wednesday the children from the year 3/4 football team will participate in week two of the Sporting Influence competition at Harrogate High School.

Thursday is a special day for the school as we welcome Mr John Wood, the former head of St Aidan’s and friend of RTS, to school where he will be leading our worship time and officially opening our entrance hall.

After school on Friday our chess club will have their final session before the Harrogate School’s Chess Tournament which is being hosted by RTS on Saturday morning the 23rd November between 10am and 12.30. Good luck to everyone involved.

Saturday 23rd is also the morning of our School Garden Tidy Up. Bring your tools and enjoy a bit of garden tidying on our new Wildlife Garden and existing Peace Garden; the event will last between 9 and 12.30 and there will be warm drinks and biscuits for everyone who attends.

Sunday 24th November is the day of the Skipton Santa Run when I will be Santa number 434 completing the 5k course to raise money to fund the work of a mental health worker at RTS. Thank you to everyone who has already sponsored me. If you would like to support this very worthwhile cause the sponsor form is available in the school office.
