This week starts with the arrival of the Hatch It Eggs; the incubator will be in the library and the children will be given the opportunity to see the chicks hatch and care for them over the next two week’s look out for photos on the school website.

On Monday afternoon Mrs Simpson will be taking out debating team from year six to the Harrogate School’s debating competition being held in the Council Chamber. After schoolit is the penultimate week of the Harrogate Theatre Drama Club and the final Friends Film Night of the term for children in KS2.

On Tuesday the children from Dentdale and Ribblesdale Classes will be heading off to Skipton Castle for the day. After school between 6pm and 7pm we will be holding our Parents Internet Safety Evening in the Hall. This is a very important subject for everyone and we are delighted to be able to invite PCSO Will Champion who will be delivering part of the presentation. Refreshments will be available from5.45pm;I look forward to seeing many of you there. Tuesday morning will also see Amy Lyons from St Aidan’s visiting the school to deliver PE lessons.

After School on Wednesday Mrs Saunderson will be taking the year 5 group to the final Toukball session at Harrogate High School. At the same time Mr Symonds will be taking the TAG Rugby Team to their re-arranged tournament at Harrogate Rugby Club.

Thursday is the last week of chess club. Congratulations to Matthew Allison who came 2nd in the age nine category at the Harrogate Chess Tournament held at St Aidan’s last Saturday.

Friday is Comic Relief Day at School. It is a non-uniform day with a red theme. The £1 donation will go straight to the charity, We will also be selling red noses in the classrooms through the week again for £1. During the afternoon we will be holding a talent show with performances from the acts nominated by every class; look out for photos next week.
